Overview: “I currently work in marketing for Konstantino, a designer jewelry line carried at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdale’s, amongst other stores. I have my BFA in Fashion and have, in the past, worked as a freelance apparel designer for women and men, worked as a costume designer for video games, and owned my own vintage clothing store. I am a lot like the weird best friend character in every ’90s TV show and movie.”

1. Describe your style in 5 words or less: “Eclectic, grungy, sloppy, and funny.”

2. Who/what are your greatest style influences? “My friends, peers, other fashion bloggers, and the entire country/continent of Australia. Australia, how are you so perfect?!”

3. What are your wardrobe necessities? “Denim cut-offs, crazy shoes, and a motorcycle jacket.”

4. Whose closet would you want to raid? “Vintage Virgin’s — oh my gaaaad. She has so many great pairs of shoes, and all of her vintage pieces are amazing.”

5. Favorite accessories: “Nutso sunglasses and more jewelry than you ever thought possible to wear all at once (worn all at once, naturally)”

6. Where do you shop? “I shop mostly at thrift stores and online. I have a rule: if I want to buy something that costs less than $30, I’m allowed to get it without much consideration, but if it costs over $30, I have to think about it for at least a week.”

7. Who’s your best shopping partner? “My boyfriend. He has great taste. I was in LF once (LF is a store so packed full of amazing pieces that it becomes overwhelming) and the sales associate was trying so hard to find something that I would love. She walked me around the store for about 30 minutes, pulling out dozens of items. My boyfriend just picked something up off of a low shelf and tossed it at me, saying “Oh, this is perfect for you.” Wouldn’t you know it? It was a rose-nude loose knit sweater, with which I instantly fell in love. I think it’s the only thing I ended up getting on that shopping excursion.”

8. Favorite trend of all time: “Cut-off high-waisted denim shorts. They are so flattering! Also, they are super comfortable and they go with anything.”

9. Fashion trend you hate: “Flared mini skirts, Chanel anything, any shoe that could be called a “pump”, and (this one is a hatred borrowed from my friend Britney) Spirit Hoodies. Get that animal off of your head!”

10. style over comfort? Or comfort over style? “think a balance is good. You should always look comfortable in your clothing, even if you’re not. “

11. I’d rather be dead than be caught wearing.. “Something boring.”

12. Ultimate shopping advice: “Stay away from the mall!”
